Abstract

The aim of this chapter is to identify and evaluate the principal impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic in the sphere of private law and thereby create a counterpart to the public law aspects that are the central theme of the monograph. At the same time, we place the main emphasis on the issue of compensation for damages in connection with the pandemic and measures to mitigate it, to which the first part of the chapter will be devoted, so that in the second part we will also briefly reflect on other spheres of private life (tenancy law, loans, procedural deadlines, enforcement or insolvency), into which the pandemic and the fight against it were also reflected.
