Abstract
The study examines the "second life" and the politics of the memory of the Masaryk myth in Czech society after 1989. It shows how historical discontinuity together with the postmodern situation contributed to the extinction of the myth of T.
G. Masaryk, which was originally one of the key myths of interwar Czechoslovakia.
