Abstract
The text reviews a newly published publication presenting the reception of Classical Antiquity in Czech literature and drama at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. Daniela Čadková's monograph is exceptional and inspiring not only by its topic, but also by its selection of researched material and methodology, such as reception aesthetics and various semiological approaches.
