Pandemic as crisis, crisis as a shock, challenge and opportunity

Abstract

The introductory chapter of the monograph defines the concept of crisis and applies it to the covida pandemic. It outlines the context of states of emergency and its Czech form, presents the main impacts of the pandemic on the activities of states and lists the main deficits of the Czech approach.
