Reaction of the legal system of the Czech Republic to the covid pandemic

Abstract

The coronavirus pandemic has shaken our lives to an unprecedented degree. Among other things, it was a stimulus for self-questioning of various scientific disciplines.

This book represents a partial self-reflection of legal science, or Czech positive legal doctrines. Although it focuses mainly on more general and quite specific problems of our constitutional law (and partly politics), it also adds an important framework of international and European law.

He also notes the extremely practical implications of our struggle with covid-19 in private law, as well as approaches to managing the pandemic in several foreign jurisdictions. It results in a relatively specific recommendation for changes in the legal system so that we are better prepared in possible similar situations in the future.
