Abstract
The activity with tropical or exotic fruit was first introduced to teachers around the year 2000. We conceived it as an interdisciplinary activity whose task is to help build interdisciplinary links.
It was first published in written form in 2003. From since then we have modified and improved it in various ways.
We presented it to hundreds of teachers in the Czech Republic and abroad. In the last few years, we meet her "folk form" in various media.
In this post, we will therefore briefly introduce it and add "good questions that teachers can use in its implementation. At the workshop, we introduced the teachers to selected types of exotic fruit, various methods of obtaining, sorting and recording information, the basics of statistical evaluation.
We introduced to the problem of sorting fruits and vegetables, we worked with maps, distances between states and continents, estimated price, quantity, weight according to labels, asked good questions and, last but not least, tasted exotic fruits.
