Abstract
The webinar focuses on environmental education in kindergarten. Participants will gain basic knowledge and skills that will enable them to lay a solid foundation in environmental literacy, respect for nature and resource conservation. The emphasis is on making the webinar participant aware of the importance of the environment in which the children's activities take place, especially the school garden. Webinar content:
1. Reasons for environmental education
2. The concept of environmental education in pre-school education
3. Presentation of the publication Environmental activities in preschool education
4. The importance of the environment, informal education, "The Third Teacher"
5. Self-evaluation questionnaire of the implementation of environmental education in kindergarten
6. Selected suggestions and ideas for short autumn activities (e.g. Nutcracker, Katka has a cough, Tree letters, Foreign fruit) and their setting in a theoretical framework.
7. Recommendations for further methodological support (eco-centres, Carrot, Spider's Web. Learning outdoors!) and literature.
