Abstract
Millions of wildlife vehicle collisions take plae every day on the global road nework. There are many causes of wildlife.vehicle crashes.
Some species do ot recognize traffic on roads as an imminent danger, do not adapt their spead to incoming vehicles, and are consequently killled. sometimes, animals are attracted to roads. A large group of safety measures to prevent WVC have been develope (e.g. overpasses, underpasses, odour repelents, wildlife reflectors, acoustic devices).
