Professional competencies are a prerequisite for any teaching qualification. So far, little attention has been paid to the issue of the professional competencies of a music teacher.
This study presents a general overview of the teacher s professional competencies and further specifies its view of interest (according to the Kysil s classification, 2019) on social competen- cies and self-study competencies. These competencies serve as a starting point for finding opportunities for their development and improving the quality of undergraduate training for music teachers.
