Abstract
The book presents basic information on the issue of special educational support for children, pupils and adults with visual impairments. The text is divided into seven chapters.
A theoretical overview of the concept of a visually impaired person, ophthalmological propaedeutics, and the ontogenetic development of individuals at individual life stages are presented here. Special education issues include the area of special education diagnostics, education options, but also current information on assistive technologies.
There is also information from the field of social sciences and social work.
