Paper at the international conference "Le Crépuscule des paradigmes ?" Les canons culturels en Europe centrale : transgressions et réhabilitations depuis la fin du XXe siècle, Sorbonne Université 23-25 May 2022. The paper analysed the memoir of Ladislav Fuks My mirror (1995) using the concept of ethos and author's posture.
It focused on the peculiar character of the memoir in which the author, due to his complicated position in the Czech society as well as in the literary field, was not able to attest to many aspects of politics and sexuality before the 1989 yet also after the Velvet revolution when the memoir was published.
