Applying of the Concept of „Interpretive Skills“ to Secondary School Literature Education

Publication at Faculty of Arts |
2022

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to introduce the concept of interpretive skills - a set of individual model learnable acts that can potentially lead a secondary school student to interpret a particular literary text. The text draws attention to some characteristics of such defined skills and outlines the possibilities of their search and structuring.

The main part of the paper, however, is a demonstration of the application of this theory in pedagogical practice - in the development of worksheets for the oral final exam.
