INITIAL PROFESSIONAL STUDIES OF PRE-PRIMARY AND PRIMARY EDUCATION TEACHERS IN SEVEN EUROPEAN COUNTRIES

Abstract

The aim of the paper is to analyse the study programmes qualifying teachers for pre-primary and primary education and to compare the concepts and contents of the study in seven European countries. The paper highlights typologically different models of initial professional studies characterised by different degrees of integration of teacher preparation programmes at both levels.

It discusses the sub-issues analysed, such as the scope of theoretical and practical training or the inclusion of current issues related to the transformation of society.
