Abstract
The paper focuses on curriculum design and the planning of educational programs within Czech nursery schools in the Czech Republic. It presents the results of a content analysis of the educational programs from 40 schools and the data from responses to a questionnaire by the student pre-school teachers.
The research focused on the practice of nursery schools when planning educational content at the school level, but also on the experiences and opinions of student teachers about curriculum design. The research involved 352 respondents studying distance learning programs at universities providing initial professional training for teachers in pre-primary education in the Czech Republic.
