Abstract
The article deals with the development of the natural environment of South Moravia during the Last Glacial Period, when the key components of today's landscape were formed. Based on a palaeogeographical reconstruction, it shows how the climate has changed during the Quaternary.
It shows how the climatic and environmental characteristics of the ice ages can be deduced from the landforms.
