On the 11th of December 2019, a new European strategy was introduced as a response to the declaration of a “climate emergency” approved as a resolution by the European Parliament on the 28th of November 2019.1 Unfortunately, it was informed on extreme briefly in the mass-media despite the fact that this document is going to affect European business, industry, agriculture, consumers life in general and of course the legal framework. This article introduces the most important parts of the strategy and its future effect on European legislation (national of course) with special focus on the area of environmental law.
