Abstract
The publication Population of the Czech Republic in the period 1995-2019 presents selected important demographic characteristics that are significant for understanding the demographic transition in the last decades in the Czech Republic. The main topics are the vital index, the percentage of people aged 65+ in the population and the economic burden index, with an emphasis on the study of the development of the relevant indicators.
As part of the research, changes in population processes in space and time at municipalities and municipalities with extended competition were investigated.
