The lecture is devoted to the various forms of the activities of the monks and nuns of the Cistercian ordre in the public space at the turn of the Middle Ages and the Early Modern Period, with particular emphasis on their relationship to the king, to the nobility, to their position at the Diet, to their representation by the monastery by its protector (Klostervogt), and also on their own demesnes. The contacts of monks and nuns with Lutherans, whether in their parishes or in the area of the so-called church simultaneum, are also monitored.
