Problems and themes of church-historical research in the pre-modern period

Abstract

The lecture focuses in a broad chronological perspective on the most frequently studied topics of history of church and of religion in the Middle Ages and the early modern period, mentions important methods and theoretical inspirations of French and German research in particular, and takes into account the special position of church history between theology and history.
