The Colloquia from a Set of the Hermeneumata Pseudodositheana and Their Use in Latin Education in Grammar Schools

Abstract

The aim of the paper is to present the set of ancient Greek-Latin texts known as the Hermeneumata Pseudodositheana, and in particular their part known as the Colloquia, as a potential didactic material for grammar school teacher of Latin.These texts were composed and used for didactic purposes in Late antiquity and can serve as an alternative or as a supplement to the artificial Latin sentences in modern textbooks.
