Abstract
This article was published in the newsletter of the Czech Sociological Society to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the death of the French sociologist Pierre Bourdieu. The author discusses the topicality of Bourdieu's sociology, comments on the translations of Bourdieu's work into Czech and provides an overview of some recent or completely new publications devoted to his sociology.
