Nature of aspects for measuring objective quality of working life

Publication at Faculty of Arts |
2019

Abstract

The paper deals with the analysis of various aspects used to assess the quality of working life. It draws on the data from the representative survey of economically active population of the Czech Republic conducted in 2019.

On an empirical basis, it shows that the impact of working-life circumstances on workers is not always universal or unambiguous, that there are at least four basic patterns of effect. Therefore, it may be misleading to assess the level of quality of working life directly on the basis of some selected objective characteristics, as workers clearly differ in the way individual phenomena and their levels affect them.
