From Boundaries to Interfaces : Autopoietic Systems and the "Ontology of Motion"

Abstrakt

Autopoietic systems are approached from the perspective of "the ontology of motion". Their basic conditions are those of "flux" including "flow" and "fluctuation".

Borders are products of the flows of population and their fluctuations under the general condition of non-equilibrium. This model may be rectified by understanding borders as zones of cultural contact.
