Abstract
The paper presented at the international conference SOCIETIES, SOCIETY ELITES AND POLITICS IN CENTRAL EUROPE IN THE SECOND HALF OF THE 19th AND FIRST HALF OF THE 20th CENTURY focused on the Melantrich press cooperative in the era of the Habsburg monarchy and later the first Czechoslovakia. The subject of interest was its economic results, but above all its links to the political party.
