The chapter focuses on the personal relations between Czechoslovak minister in Mexico Vlastimil Kybal and Mexican president Lázaro Cárdenas. The text proves that friendly personal ties can affect in a positive way the relations between two countries.
That is why we can call the times of Kybal in Mexico (1935-1939) as a golden age of Czechoslovak-Mexican relations in their history. The chapter is approached from the international perspective, i.e., it is based on archive material from both Mexico and Czechoslovakia.
