Abstrakt
This book review deals with the publication entitled "Religion in Sixteenth-Century Mexico. A Guide to Aztec and Catholic Beliefs and Practices", which is the work of the authorial partnership of Cheryl Claassen and Laura Ammon.
They are both employed by the Appalachian State University and have years of experience in dealing with the native cultures of the Americas. Cheryl Claassen further specializes in North and Mesoamerican cultures and archaeology (Claassen 2015), while Laura Ammon addresses religions in the Americas, and the coloniality and history of religion (Ammon 2012).
The authors present a summarizing publication, the aim of which is to provide the reader with a comprehensive guide to the religious landscape of sixteenth-century Mexico Catholicism.
