Rykl Enochova-Weiselova and Her Family. A Contribution to the History of Jewish Society in Prague before the Battle of the White Mountain,

Abstract

The study is devoted to examining the situation of the Prague Jewish community during the 16th century through the influential Weisel family. The female Jew Rykl (Lída) Enochova-Weiselova is the main figure of the text, on whose fate, the position of wealthy women in the community is depicted, their activities in business as well as everyday life of Jews in early modern society.
