Abstract
The study entertains with the so callled Universalia-Controversy and its consequences for the concept of God. The next involves essence of the controversy and its development fromt the antique to the XIV. century.
The study descrives further various ways how teachers of the Prague University of that time attempted to escape from these apories. Finally, the main solutions are outlined : the proposal of Duns Scotus who saw a so callled formal difference between divine essence and divine ideas.
And the view of Thomas Aquinas observing the created world as a participation on the imitable divine essence.
