Abstract
The article examines the legal regulation of the consignment note and the bill of lading, especially in the legal codes valid in the territory of the Czech Republic. The article compares the extent and content of legal regulation, the concept of individual institutes and the rights and obligations of the parties related to these documents.
At the same time, the specifics of legal regulation in rail freight transport are taken into account.
