Movement breaks – Classroom movement activities

Abstract

Movement breaks are brief intervals that enable all students to move their bodies and help teachersto engage learnersin physical ways.Activities can be focused on relaxation or activation, included before or after schoolwork, using various kinds of movement.

Stretching, strengthening, mobilization, chants, dancing, morning meeting greetings, yoga or laughter yoga inspiration, Feldenkrais method, Brain gym and others can be used as movement breaks throughout the day.
