Abstract
The textbook is intended for non-medical health professionals who come to the Czech Republic from Ukraine and are interested in learning Czech. Its main aim is to help students master the basic vocabulary and phraseology used in the hospital environment when communicating with patients and medical staff.
It is based on Ukrainian so that it can be used both in self-study and in medical Czech courses. For better practice and understanding, all dialogues and useful phrases are recorded to give students the opportunity to correct their pronunciation.
The textbook can be worked with from beginning to end, but it is also possible to select individual chapters according to the students' interests and needs. Experts in teaching Czech to foreigners, specialists in the field of nursing and native Ukrainian speakers have contributed to the publication.
