Abstract
The text is conceived as a set of basic information on the current situation of 56 stateless ethnic communities (and major regional languages as well) in Europe on the example of which it is possible to explicate, compare, analyse, and interpret many aspects of the complex issue. The work includes 200 black-and-white and color photographs and a number of maps.
An extensive list of encyclopaedic works concerning ethnic groups of Europe is also attached.
