Abstract
Edition of six treatises on virginity and widowhood from 16th-17th century accompanied with explanatory notes, glossary and two thorough essays by the editresses concerning the gender problems in the Czech early modern literature. It is the 1st volume of a four volumes edition 'Gender v českých prespriptivních diskursech raného novověku (v literatuře o ženství, panenství, vdovství, manželství a ženském těle)' - 'Genter in the Czech prescriptive discourses from the early modern period (in literature on feminity, virginity, widowhood, matrimony and feminine body)'.
