Abstract
Collation can in the most general way be characterized as an institute which leads to taking into account gratuitous payments from the testator's estate when determining the amount of the inheritance shares or obligatory portions. This paper deals specifically with collation.
It is more abstract, but reading it may also help readers to resolve specific interpretive issues, as well as if they are trying to navigate the complex legal framework for taking into account gratuitous transactions from the testator in Czech inheritance law.
