Abstrakt
An analysis of the reception of the Irish novel between 1980 and the present day, emphasising the role of censorship and a relative absence of specialists in communist Czechoslovakia as opposed to the subsequent influence of the free market and the difficulty of prediction as regards the commercial success of new authors.
