"Who Owns the Game?": Translation and Contemporary Irish Poetry

Abstract

This chapter focuses on two recently published translation projects – the bilingual editions of selected poems by Ailbhe Ní Ghearbhuigh and Aifric Mac Aodha – in order to see how conflicting tendencies towards uniformity and diversity influence the poetry of new from Ireland.
