Abstract
In his text, the author is based on his interest in Czech phraseology and its place in the socio-cultural competence of foreign users of Czech. With regard to his earlier works, he defines so-called film announcements (quotes) and assigns them a place in the system of Czech parémias and idioms.
Using specific examples, it shows the place and function of film announcements (quotes) in the everyday communication of Czech speakers.
