Abstract

Endocrine or Graves-Basedow orbitopathy (EO) is a serious, progressive eye disease associated with autoimmune thyroid disease. In 2021, the unified recommendation of the European Thyroid Association and the European Group on Graves Orbitopathy (EUGOGO) for endocrine orbitopathy was updated, as well as the guidelines of the Czech Society of Endocrinology.

Symptoms typical of EO are often present in the early stages of thyroid disease, and it is very important to recognize whether the symptoms are mild and watch and wait approach is adequate or the endocrine orbitopathy requires treatment. Therefore, based on wider cooperation, we created a questionnaire and a set of information materials for doctors and patients.
