Workshop 2022: Contemporary military re-enactment in the Czech lands: its history and culture in an interdisciplinary perspective
Abstract
The interdisciplinary workshop was devoted to theoretical and methodological issues related to the ongoing GAČR grant 22-07058S, in particular epistemological issues of post-positivist oral history (Wohlmuth), the application of Koselleck's theory of multilevel temporality for the interpretation of historical subjectivity of interviewed narrators (Vacek), materiality and agency of objects in military reenactment (Hadarová), and the issue of the influence of "gun culture" on the historical subjectivity of military reenactors (Hlaváček). Each of the papers presented by the 4 co-organizers was followed by a panel discussion on the topic.
