Abstract
The first edition of Hepatology was published in 2010. Many years have passed since then and the publication has been updated at regular intervals of 4 years.
Currently, the 4th edition is published. In preparing the publication, both editors have tried to respect all the progress and changes that hepatology has made in more than two decades of the new century.
Several new authors were invited to collaborate, some chapters were included completely new, some contained in previous editions were completely omitted. Currently, imaging techniques and histological evaluation of liver biopsy play a very important role in a hepatology textbook.
Therefore, large number of new illustrative materials, including CT/MR scans and liver biopsy histology slides were added to the book.
