Abstract
The main advantage of corpus interfaces is that they can be used to search complex queries. For this purpose, it is often possible to use the Corpus Query Language (CQL), which has precisely defined rules.
The Alpha program translates natural Czech and English queries into CQL, making searching for more complex queries accessible to those who find CQL too formal or do not have time to learn it. It can also function as a CQL education tool.
