Abstract
Originally a practical gynecologist in Brno, Tirala became professor of Racial Hygiene at the University in Munich in 1933, thanks only to his political activities and protection of Nazi friends, despite protests of experts. He failed both as a teacher and as researcher and had to leave his position already in 1936.
