Abstract
The book focuses on the analysis of German politics, the constitutional system, the economic system, the integration of the so-called new federal states and their problems, but also on German culture, the media and, last but not least, on Germany's relations with the Czech Republic. The chapters also contain nested boxes devoted to specific events (e.g. the migration crisis), phenomena (e.g. sports) or personalities (e.g.
German chancellors and presidents).
