The paper addresses the question of the relationship between work and education. It approaches this topic from the standpoint of Christian social ethics.
Supported by texts from the Church magisterium and secondary literature, the paper points the close interconnectedness of these issues and to the fact that with the increasing complexity of the world of work, more and more emphasis will need to be placed on long-life education. The paper focuses also on the right to education as a human right and on related topics.
