The large shaft tombs of the Saite-Persian cemetery at Abusir and the embalmers' deposits found within these tombs are thanks to the recent archaelogical excavations quite well-known and documented. Embalmers' deposits of Wedjahorresnet, Iufaa, Menekhibnekau and Wahibremeryneit providing vital new information on the mummification process and the timetable under which it was carried out, mostly because they were discovered intact.
