Abstract
Changing social conditions and the nature of social problems call for a review of the current roles of social work as a helping profession, as well as for reflection on scenarios for its future development. The conference entitled Perspectives of Social Work held under the auspices of the Minister of Labour and Social Affairs, Ing.
Marian Jurecka and the Social Committee of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic. This educational event will be based on a combination of presentations and panel discussions with a significant presence of foreign guests.
Particular attention will be paid to critical reflection on the current state of the field, new directions and concepts of social work, changes in field education, the role of umbrella organizations and other topics.
