International Criminal Law: an Effective Tool for the Protection of Cultural Rights?

Abstrakt

The chapter deals with the interaction of cultural rights, as they are protected by international law, and the crimes under international law that relate to the protection of cultural property. It identifies and analyses the interaction as it is not as clear as in the case of relationship between violations of humanitarian law and war crimes.
