Catholic Experiences and Educational Realities. Jesuit Student Cultures and Academic Routines in Central and East-Central Europe from the 16th to the 18th Century
Abstract
The conference was organized in connection with the 400 years anniversary of the takeover of Prague University by the Jesuits (1622). The organizers tried to open new questions that stood on the margin of earlier research in the field of university and education history.
The aim was to reconstruct the student life and mentality at the Jesuit colleges and Jesuit universities. Historians from 6 countries took active part in the conference.
