Abstract
Brno art historian Václav Richter (1900-1970) opposed to Vojtěch Birnbaum's objection to the invisibility of space in architecture. He tried to imagine space in Baroque architecture as diluted matter or as "foam" that differs from the matter of the building's envelope only in its lesser density.
