Abstract
Sial, i. e. Union of the architects and engineers in Liberec, was found in 1968 by Karel Hubáček and Miroslav Masák.
Members of the Sial were designing extremely progressive architecture similar to high-tech and, slightly later, to post-modernism. Thanks to them, the creative focus of Czech architecture moved from Prague to Liberec.
